While the battle for the drivers’ title continues between the two McLaren drivers and Max Verstappen, there is still plenty to fight for across the rest of the grid.
The title fight is on: just a single point separates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, while Verstappen still has a chance to claim his fifth consecutive world title.
However, further down the grid, there’s another battle that’s just as important for the midfield teams.

The battle for P6 in the constructors' standings

While Williams has seemingly secured fifth place in the constructors’ championship behind the front-running teams, the battle for sixth remains one to watch this season. Currently, only 12 points separate the four teams between P6 and P9.

Racing Bulls is currently leading the battle heading into the Sprint weekend in Brazil. Since the summer break, Isack Hadjar claimed a stunning podium in Zandvoort and Liam Lawson scored an important P5 in Azerbaijan, but the Faenza-based team hasn’t scored a point since.
Aston Martin are also going through a difficult spell. Since the break, Lance Stroll has scored points only once in the Netherlands. Fernando Alonso has suffered a series of retirements, including in Monza, where he was running well inside the points. His best finish since the summer came in Singapore, aided by Lewis Hamilton’s five-second penalty.

Haas catapulted itself into contention with a strong performance at the Mexico City GP. Oliver Bearman has been in fine form recently, securing a career-best fourth-place finish last Sunday, while Esteban Ocon added points with a P9 finish as well.
Since the Dutch Grand Prix, Sauber drivers have finished inside the points on three occasions: Gabriel Bortoleto finished seventh in Monza and 10th in Mexico, while Nico Hülkenberg crossed the line in eighth at the Circuit of the Americas.
