GPblog understands that Monday's critical meeting between the FIA, F1, and the team principals and CEOs has resulted in a unanimous vote to deliver changes to the 2026 F1 regulations. This means that the next Grand Prix, set to take place at the beginning of May in Miami, will see small tweaks introduced.
After the opening three rounds of the 2026 season, there has been widespread criticism among drivers, including Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Carlos Sainz.
Verstappen has described the 2026 racing as something out of 'Mario Kart', with a strong focus on the 50-50 split between energy deployment, while other have expressed safety concerns over the closing speeds of the 2026 cars.
These concerns were heightened after Ollie Bearman's huge 50G crash in Suzuka, after he approached a slow-moving Alpine of Franco Colapinto, who was harvesting at Sppon Curve.
