The third free practice for the Spanish Grand Prix was fairly quiet until Esteban Ocon parked his Renault in the wall at the exit of turn three just before the end of the session. High speeds were reached there, but the Frenchman was able to get out of the car unharmed.

Incident is being investigated

His crash was caused by a slow moving Kevin Magnussen. Ocon didn't seem to pay much attention and had to make an evasive manoeuvre at the last minute. Because of this he lost control of his car and hit the wall on the inside of the track hard.
The incident is now being investigated by the race management. This means that Kevin Magnussen may receive a penalty. For Ocon and Renault it doesn't matter much anymore, they now have to work hard to repair the car in time for qualifying.
