LIVE | The FIA Champions Press Conference ahead of prize gala
The Annual FIA Prizegiving gala takes place on Thursday evening where Max Verstappen will be officially crowned Formula 1 World Champion for the first time in his career. The event taking place in Paris sees the best of FIA motorsport join together to celebrate their achievements in 2021. But first, the FIA Champions Press Conference will take place and you can follow the action live here.
Max Verstappen
For the first time since 2016, Lewis Hamilton is not the Formula 1 World Champion. After a titanic duel with the British driver in 2021, Verstappen came out on top after winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last weekend. He will therefore represent Formula 1. Despite winning the constructors championship and coming second in the drivers' championship, Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff will not be present at this evening's proceedings.
It's not just Formula 1 that will be celebrated this evening. All categories that fall underneath the FIA umbrella will form part of the gala and press conference.
