Liam Lawson looks set to stay at Racing Bulls in 2027 as Red Bull look set to confirm him and Arvid Lindblad as the team's line-up for next season. That would end weeks of doubt caused by Formula 2 contender Nikola Tsolov.
The latest paddock rumours is that Racing Bulls will keep their current pairing.
We are expecting Racing Bulls or Red Bull or Laurent Mekies or whoever looks after their young driver programme post-Helmut Marko to confirm that Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad will be the Racing Bulls driver duo for next season.
- Ted Kravitz, Sky Sports F1
Racing Bulls are on course to finish fifth in the constructors' championship, and he expects that to earn both drivers new contracts. Nothing has been announced yet.

Racing Bulls and Haas are the last teams still deciding

Racing Bulls and Haas are the only two teams that have not yet confirmed their drivers for 2027. In Singapore, team principal Alan Permane said the team was not in a hurry to choose between Lawson, Lindblad and Tsolov.
We're in no rush. We've got two fantastic drivers. We've got a fantastic driver in F2 at the moment, and they're all there and ready to go. But three doesn't fit into two, of course.
- Alan Permane, Racing Bulls team principal
Lawson has made a strong case for himself and has scored 69 points this season. That total includes 14 points from the three races he drove for Red Bull while Isack Hadjar recovered from a wrist injury. Hadjar has since been confirmed at Red Bull for 2027.
In late August, GPblog reported that a move to F1 next year was far from certain for Tsolov, and that Lawson and Lindblad were the favourites to keep their seats.

Kravitz's claim contradicts Ralf Schumacher

Not everyone agrees. Speaking to Sky Sports Germany, Ralf Schumacher predicted that Lawson would lose his seat to the 19-year-old Tsolov, who is leading the F2 championship.
I don't think he'll stay. I believe Arvid Lindblad will stay, and that they'll give Tsolov a chance.

Schumacher argued that Racing Bulls exists to develop young drivers, saying: "This is the junior team, and that's what it's there for." Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies did not commit to anything, saying only: "In all cases, we have a long-term view on Nikola."
If Kravitz is right, Tsolov is likely to spend 2027 as a reserve driver. Red Bull would then face the same three-drivers-for-two-seats question again a year from now. Until the team makes an announcement, Lawson's future depends on which of the two predictions turns out to be correct.
