According to Spanish magazine Hola! the 44-year-old double world champion and journalist girlfriend Jimenez - in charge of covering F1 for broadcaster DAZN - are expecting their first child together, and the baby is estimated to come around March, which indicates the couple have been expecting for around 6 months now, which could explain the Spanish journalist's absence from the F1 tracks in recent times.
According to the report, sources close to the couple have indicated Jimenez is taking utmost care and that both are very excited for the experience that they are about to embark upon.
Though the child will be Alonso's firts, for Jimenez it will be her fourth, having given birth to three children from her previous relationship with Spanish footballer Marc Bartra.

Fernando gets ready for massive challenge both on and off the track

The Spanish driver will not only welcome arguably one of the biggest sporting challenges in his career, in the form of the drastic F1 2026 regulation changes, but now his personal life will be revamped as well with the birth of his first child.
However, as Max Verstappen has been able to show, fatherhood is not something that can be a setback in terms of performance, with the four-time world champion's F1 2025 fightback into the title race already being dubbed as one of the best seasons in the sports history.

Button's 'wish' comes true

Former F1 champion Jenson Button, a former McLaren teammate of 44-year-old Fernando Alonso, praised Alonso’s continued competitiveness but said he’d like to see him start a family, suggesting fatherhood and sharing karting with his children could bring emotions surpassing a world title.
