Ahead of the Mexico Grand Prix, there was some talk about Helmut Marko's comments on Oscar Piastri. Marko later said his words had been taken out of context, but McLaren CEO Zak Brown nevertheless wants to make it clear that his driver is "not going anywhere."

Brown hits back on Marko: 'Piastri isn't going anywhere'

Speaking to F1-Insider, Marko claimed that Mark Webber, former Formula 1 driver and currently manager of Oscar Piastri, was 'intensively seeking talks'. Arriving in Mexico City, Piastri denied that story and later Marko said his words had been taken out of context.
McLaren CEO Zak Brown assured after the first practice session, in which IndyCar driver Pato O'Ward took a seat in Lando Norris' car, that neither current McLaren driver is going elsewhere. "We’re obviously very happy with our two guys and we’ve got them signed up for quite some time. They’re not going anywhere, contrary to some speculation by one other team boss," Brown said.
