What's next for Albon? "I don't know, Christmas with the family and we'll see"

Alex Albon drove a strong race in Abu Dhabi. The Red Bull Racing driver wasn't far away from the front three runners and even started to challenge Lewis Hamilton for the final podium place in the last few laps. 

Albon's future at Red Bull is still unconfirmed. There are question marks as to whether Red Bull will pick Sergio Perez to drive alongside Max Verstappen. Albon is still unsure if he has done enough to impress Christian Horner and Co. 

"Yeah great result. Car has been good all weekend. A couple more laps and maybe we could have got past. I was struggling a bit on the hard tyre at the start. I had a bit too much juice left at the end," Albon told Sky Sports. 

"I don't know," Albon replied when he is asked about his gut feeling for next season. "I wouldn't know. From my side, all I wanted was to have a good weekend. Go home now and have Christmas with the family and we'll see."
