Abu Dhabi GP result: Verstappen closes season with victory

Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing can go into winter with a good feeling. The Dutchman was very strong all weekend and crowned his strong performance with the victory in the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi.

Verstappen's victory was never in danger. A good start kept him in the lead and slowly but surely built up a lead over Valtteri Bottas. The safety car after the failure of Sergio Perez also did not cause any problems. Bottas and Lewis Hamilton were allowed to take the podium with Verstappen. Alexander Albon put in a solid performance with a fourth place.

Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz took fifth and sixth place in the race, earning enough points for third place in the Constructors' Championship at the expense of Racing Point, which scored just one point with Lance Stroll in tenth place. The top ten is complete with Daniel Ricciardo, Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.
