Marc Marquez will have to wait until Portugal for his tenth world title after Marco Bezzecchi beat him to victory in the Qatar Grand Prix.
Bezzecchi was taken out of the title fight a day earlier during the sprint race when he collided with Marquez, and the Ducati rider had the chance to do the same to second-placed Jorge Martin.
However, he needed a win and the injured Martin not to score, but neither happened.
Martin, in fact, finished seventh with a broken wrist, meaning Marquez will have to wait until the next round in Portimao to clinch his tenth world title, overtaking long-time rival Valentino Rossi.
Bezzecchi and Marquez were joined on the podium by Raul Fernandez, while Ai Ogura was followed by Enea Bastianini who put in a stunning performance to take fifth on a Tech3 KTM.

Then came Pedro Acosta and Martin, while in 14th Jake Dixon impressively picked up two points as a substitute for Honda.
