Ralf Schumacher highly doubts any possibility of Sebastian Vettel becoming Helmut Marko's successor at Red Bull.
Schumacher commented on the rumours surrounding the four-time World Champion, but doubted them due to Vettel's new way of life.
GPblog previously reported that Sebastian Vettel could potentially replace Helmut Marko at Red Bull Racing, following comments made by Marko himself. Ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen was asked about the possibility of Vettel making the switch, and he shared his thoughts on the matter. Jonathan Wheatley, Red Bull’s Sporting Director, also weighed in on the speculation.
In an interview with the German YouTube channel Formel1, former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher addressed the growing rumours surrounding Vettel’s potential return to the Red Bull setup.
With uncertainty continuing to surround the team’s leadership structure, the idea of bringing back the four-time world champion, this time in a management role, has become a hot topic within the paddock.

Schumacher doubts Vettel's Red Bull return

"I don't know how he would have to adjust there. I haven't heard anything from Red Bull that indicates they would be in favour," Schumacher also openly doubts the choice Vettel himself must make, where Vettel is committed to sustainability and climate issues.
"Sebastian's life has completely changed. During his active career, he was already involved in sustainability and everything green. And rightly so. It's hard to imagine him going to 24 races in an electric car. That does not make sense for him. I also think it's difficult for the company [Red Bull], looking at how he has spoken out in recent years when it became so extreme.''

Marko looks ahead to the rest of Verstappen's season

Last week, Helmut Marko made headlines in the wake of Christian Horner’s dismissal. The Austrian advisor turned his attention to the upcoming race at Spa-Francorchamps and shared his thoughts on Max Verstappen’s prospects for the remainder of the season. Marko also took the opportunity to comment on the performance of Red Bull’s second driver, Yuki Tsunoda.
