Another desperately disappointing race for Sebastian Vettel ended in him asking fans, not to boo race winner, Lewis Hamilton instead targeting the decision makers after he was handed a five-second penalty costing him victory in Canada.
The German was handed a five-second penalty for an unsafe re-entry on lap 48 of the Canadian Grand Prix after running onto the grass at turn three. The penalty meant he dropped to second after his teammate Charles Leclerc was unable to close the gap enough despite it being his best result of the season whilst Lewis Hamilton took the win.
A furious Vettel stormed off after the race not taking part in the post-race podium interview with Martin Brundle. After moving the first place sign to the gap where his car could've been Brundle briefly caught up with him after the podium presentation.
"The people shouldn't boo at Lewis, if anything they should boo at this funny decisions," Vettel told Martin Brundle.
"Well I think first of all, I really enjoyed the race and the crowd on every lap. Seeing them cheer me on it was very intense. I think you should ask the pitwall what they think we had a great show and Lewis showed some good respect."
