Max Verstappen said he feels good about his future, but has no definitive decision to share on that front at the Hungaroring.
A year ago, Verstappen confirmed ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix that he would remain with Red Bull Racing for the 2026 season. That was not the case this year, although he did answer a question about his future. Verstappen can also wait until mid-October to make that call.
Speaking to GPblog, among others, the four-time world champion said: "I am feeling good, and you know, from my side, what I'm saying that there is nothing to say is because there's nothing going on.
He continued: "So, for me, I'm just focused on trying to get the most out of the car, that's already complicated enough to deal with. That's what I'm just doing. I mean, this team is like a second family to me. I'm just trying to understand our car a bit better and of course get back to winning ways.
"But I mean, we've been close one weekend, I hope, of course, a little bit more often than just one weekend. But like I said before, it's definitely on an upward trend, so that's good to see."

Verstappen sees upward trend at Red Bull Racing

Verstappen finished on the podium at Spa-Francorchamps, but was not in the battle for the victory, unlike at Austria.
"I think we're just trying to understand the basics of the car," Verstappen explained.
"Sometimes, some weekends, the performance has been a bit more straightforward. Sometimes we still had a few issues that we had to resolve, but it's an upwards trend.

"So I think that's always good to see, but at the same time, you have to wait and see when others arrive with big upgrades. And that's why sometimes you have a good weekend, and then another weekend someone comes with an upgrade that is two tenths or three tenths, and it looks again a little bit different. So just have to take it race by race, really."
