Verstappen reacts to win: "I'm going to enjoy the podium & then the journey home"

Max Verstappen is a Grand Prix winner for the tenth time after securing victory in Abu Dhabi. It was perhaps one of the easiest wins of his career. In the end, it was a race in which tyre management turned out to be crucial.

"It was really enjoyable yesterday already and today, of course," Verstappen told Martin Brundle afterwards. "We had a good start and from there on, of course you look after the tyres, but the car was having a good balance. It was really enjoyable out there today. We did everything alright. Once you start up front you can control the race a bit more and it makes your life easier."

Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas chose to spin donuts on the straight, but Verstappen didn't. "No, I'm going to enjoy the podium and then the journey home."
