Max Verstappen is skeptical about his chances with Red Bull for the 2025 season. The Dutchman spoke to GPBlog, among others, after the race about the problems with his Red Bull Racing car and was not exactly positive. Verstappen indicated after the Spanish GP that McLaren would be unbeatable this year. During the race, the Red Bull team had a brilliant strategy that kept the reigning world champion well in the fight with the papaya team. When Kimi Antonelli dropped out in the final stage of the race, this turned the race completely upside down. Gianpiero Lambiase did not adequately inform Verstappen about the strategic options, which caused him to lose a lot of ground on hard tires.
This led to a collision with George Russell, where the Red Bull driver clearly showed his frustration.Verstappen looks ahead to the possibilities for Red Bull
This frustrated attitude was also held after the race by Verstappen. For example, he was asked about the complaints that are heard weekly over the team radio about the grip, brakes, and steer-ability of the RB21. "You have to manage those things," the Dutchman began, he continued: "Of course, we do everything we can to get as much out of the car as possible, and I think that still works. There are just a lot of things we need to analyse," he concluded with a sigh.

When asked further whether the Red Bull driver thought it possible that these problems could be solved soon, he replied dejectedly: "I mean, we analyse this during all race weekends. Of course, there are always parts of the car that can be improved, so we'll look into that."
For Verstappen, the Canadian Grand Prix is scheduled in two weeks, an event the Dutchman has won for the past three years. This is followed by his team's home race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. It is to be hoped that the analyses of Verstappen and his team yield some results, as they would like to make a good appearance in Spielberg.
