Verstappen's private jet flies to Red Bull headquarters after Hungarian GP

On Tuesday, the flight-tracking information for Verstappen’s plane showed that the aircraft initially flew from its home base in Nice – near Monaco – to Sardinia, where it landed at the airport. The Dutchman’s luxury yacht, named Unleash the Lion, docked there on Sunday afternoon. Who is or was on board the plane or the yacht cannot be confirmed at this time, but GPblog understands it wasn't Verstappen himself, as he is currently on holiday.

After a brief stop on the Italian island, the plane took off again and set course for Salzburg. The only thing that can be confirmed about this is that Red Bull’s headquarters are located there.

The exact purpose of the visit and who travelled there is unclear, but information from this site indicates that it is a short visit, after which Verstappen’s private jet will fly back to the Mediterranean south coast early in the evening.

In June, Verstappen paid a visit to Salzburg himself. There, a meeting took place between Max Verstappen, his manager Raymond Vermeulen, and Red Bull executives Mark Mateschitz, Oliver Mintzlaff, and Chalerm Yoovidhya. What was discussed during that meeting was never disclosed. That may also be the case for this visit. According to a rumor from the German Bild, Red Bull would like to offer Verstappen a new deal. Whether that is indeed the case and whether this visit has anything to do with it cannot be determined at this time.
