Yuki Tsunoda has been Max Verstappen’s teammate since the Japanese Grand Prix. The Japanese driver doesn’t hesitate to praise his Red Bull Racing teammate, but he also shares a very personal revelation about what the four-time world champion means to him. In the latest episode of
Behind the Charge on the
Red Bull YouTube channel,
Tsunoda said:
''I don't know what people don't see about Max, to be honest. He's just a really genuinely nice guy.''Not only Tsunoda had praise for the Dutchman. His faithful sidekick on the pit wall, Gianpiero Lambiase, also pointed out that
Verstappen is often portrayed as a villain.
According to the Italian Brit, this is totally unjustified.Yuki Tsunoda and Max Verstappen as teammates at Red Bull

There was one thing that really made a big change for Tsunoda. He came to know a kind of strong drink thanks to his current teammate in
Formula 1:
''Until I met Max, I didn't drink my gin and tonic. So he gave me a a new new life to me to myself.''The alcoholic treats are not the only things Verstappen has passed on to his teammate. Tsunoda previously revealed that he also learned several Dutch swear words from the reigning world champion.
In short, Tsunoda enjoys himself as Verstappen's teammate. However, he is not having much luck on the circuit itself.
After the GP of Hungary, Tsunoda is the Red Bull driver who has recorded the longest series of Grands Prix without points. He only ranked seventeenth in Budapest last weekend.
