Vasseur confident Ferrari can seal constructors' P2 ahead of Red Bull

Scuderia Ferrari team principal, Fred Vasseur, has revealed that his team is focused on clinching second place in the Constructors’ standings.

The 57-year-old, who spoke to GPblog during the United States Grand Prix, touched on how Max Verstappen and the Red Bull Racing team are fast closing in on second place, before revealing that his team’s focus remains on finishing as strong as possible in the Constructors’ Championship.
“We are three teams within 10 points, but Max [Verstappen] is scoring big points each weekend. The most important thing is the addition of the two cars. Let's be focused until the end, and try to get the best out of what we have.”
“It's a good feeling to be back on the podium, to be back with both cars, to have the pace, and we'll fight until the last.”

The Ferrari team currently sits third in the Constructors’ standings, behind McLaren, who have already been crowned champions, and Mercedes, who are seven points ahead. The Maranello-based outfit are also closely followed by Red Bull, who are only three points behind in fourth place.
Ferrari experienced a return to the podium places during the United States Grand Prix, with Charles Leclerc clinching a third-place finish ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton, who recorded a fourth-place finish.

Verstappen on the Constructors’ P2 battle

Earlier, Verstappen stated that the Red Bull team will give it a push to finish in second place in the Constructors’ standings. The Dutch driver also admitted he expects it to be a proper battle between the teams involved through the final stretch of the season.

The 2025 campaign is poised to see the fight for second place in the Constructors’ Championship go down to the wire, with five races and two sprints left on the calendar.
