Yuki Tsunoda currently sits seventeenth in the championship, while Max Verstappen, driving the same car, holds third place. At Silverstone, the Japanese driver opened up about his experience and the support he receives from his team. "I definitely feel the support, but it's different these days. I feel a lot of support from Helmut Marko and Christian Horner," the Japanese driver said during the British GP press conference.
"I've been to the south of the United Kingdom with a physio from Red Bull Racing. That has helped a lot to get myself back together, and that too was arranged by the team. It helps me get back into the right rhythm," the Red Bull driver continued.
Nobody gets used to Red Bull immediately
It’s clear that Tsunoda is struggling at
Red Bull — with just ten points in nine races for the Austrian team, he has barely made an impact. Meanwhile, Verstappen sits comfortably atop the
F1 championship standings with 155 points.
Whether Verstappen can be matched by other drivers?: "I really don't know. I guess it depends on the driver. Yet, I must admit that I have not seen any driver who immediately gets used to a new car," Tsunoda concluded.
