Max Verstappen finished last season as world champion. This achievement shows that the Dutchman feels comfortable at
Red Bull Racing, but
Christian Horner is also very happy with his driver.
Verstappen is entering his sixth full season at Red Bull this season, after becoming
Daniel Ricciardo 's teammate in 2016. Meanwhile, he has had many teammates, for example
Pierre Gasly,
Alexander Albon and
Sergio Perez. This year Perez will remain his teammate.
He won his first race in 2016 at the
Spanish Grand Prix and has since achieved many victories and podiums. The icing on the cake was winning the world title at the end of last season and the 24-year-old driver is driven to win even more world titles in the upcoming years.
Horner doesn't want to lose him
The Milton Keynes-based team is extremely happy with the Dutch driver and would not want to lose him for anything. He is only 24 years old, but that means he can still fight for world championships for years to come. He is driven to win more world titles with Red Bull, mainly because of the great relationship with the team, says Horner at
Speedcafe.com.
"I think that the relationship that we share, the trust that we share in each other, is worth more than any piece of paper. I look forward to racing with Max for many years to come, and I believe that the best years are very much still to come," the Briton said.
