Surprising third red flag in Japan! Grass is on fire in Suzuka!

After the red flags caused by Jack Doohan and Fernando Alonso, the red flag also had to be waved for a surprising reason: the grass caught fire.
Similarly to the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix, the grass was on fire in FP2 at the Suzuka Circuit in Turn 11.
This was possibly caused by the sparks coming off the cars and the windy conditions. The marshals quickly used fire extinguishers.
The session could resume with seven minutes to go.
