With the Red Bull Ring round now in the books, won by George Russell, Formula 1 is already set to head to Silverstone for another highly anticipated weekend as the title fight continues to intensify. Here is the full schedule for the British Grand Prix. After eight races, Kimi Antonelli still leads the drivers' championship on 171 points. However, his teammate has taken another 10 points out of his advantage after already closing the gap by 18 in Barcelona, while also reclaiming second place in the standings ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who endured a difficult race at the Red Bull Ring and finished fifth.
The Silverstone weekend will also mark the return of the Sprint format, following its previous appearances in Shanghai, Miami and, most recently, Canada. Friday will already prove crucial, with Sprint Qualifying setting the grid for the weekend's first points-paying race. Saturday will then feature the Sprint before the traditional qualifying session, with the British Grand Prix bringing the weekend to a close on Sunday.
As for the session times, the weekend will get underway on Friday with Free Practice 1, scheduled for 13:30 CET (12:30 UK), before attention quickly shifts to Sprint Qualifying later in the day at 17:30 CET (16:30 UK), where the grid for Saturday's Sprint Race will be decided. Saturday's action will begin with the Sprint Race at 13:00 CET (12:00 UK), before the traditional qualifying session takes place later in the afternoon at 17:00 CET (16:00 UK) to determine the starting order for Sunday's Grand Prix. The weekend will then conclude with the British Grand Prix on Sunday, which is scheduled to get underway at 16:00 CET (15:00 UK).

He also stressed that the British Grand Prix offers an atmosphere unlike any other on the Formula 1 calendar, adding that the support from fans, whether at the circuit or from home, gives the team extra motivation and is something everyone carries with them throughout the weekend.
