The Australian still stays in touch with several Formula 1 drivers, he said in the latest episode of the 'Box Box with Bella' podcast.
When asked which driver he remains closest to, he said: "Because you think my answer will be Max and you want me to put it in a good word?"
He then continued: "Probably, I would say texting wise, I would probably the most with Max."
Ricciardo said that another of his former teammates, Lando Norris, is terrible at texting. He said about the defending world champion: "Lando's a terrible text. Yeah, I think he gets bored after a few texts and then just stops replying."
About himself, Ricciardo added: "I send so many voice notes. God damn it is it selfish, but I love it."

George Russell is under threat from Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen.
“I believe that Kimi Antonelli's consistency is definitely causing George Russell problems at the moment," he said. "It seems that every time Russell gets in the car, he gets thoroughly thrashed by Kimi.
"I know it hasn't been a perfect season for him. I know luck might not have been on his side, but that’s part of Formula 1. This will be tough on him because everyone, myself included, thought this would be George’s year. But it hasn't turned out that way.

According to TMZ, the alleged incident took place on Sunday afternoon at Kardashian’s Hidden Hills estate in Los Angeles.
The leading celebrity outlet says police claim that a 27-year-old man forced his way into the property, which is currently undergoing renovation.
