Mercedes driver George Russell has stated there could be some shocks at the Singapore Grand Prix, as "anybody can do anything". "It’s pretty incredible seeing the likes of Carlos, Hülkenberg, and Hadjar on the podium this season."
- George RussellThe German team overtook Ferrari in the constructors' standings thanks to a positive weekend at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, with Russell's P2 and Kimi Antonelli's P4
seeing them move up the constructors' championship.
However, the 27-year-old is also wary that plenty of changes could be on the cards coming to the
Marina Bay Street Circuit.
"I think it’s very dependent circuit to circuit," the Brit stated after his podium finish in Baku when asked about Mercedes' chances for the rest of the season.

"Definitely, this weekend, the conditions and the circuit layout probably suited our car better than we’ll see in Singapore.
"But, right now, the field is so compact and overtaking is pretty difficult. So it seems like anybody can do an amazing lap and get themselves up the order.
"To be honest, it’s pretty incredible seeing the likes of Carlos, Hülkenberg, and Hadjar on the podium this season," concluded Russell.
Mercedes looking to hold onto P2
As McLaren looks certain to take the constructors' championship in Singapore, their second attempt after missing out in Baku last time out, the battle behind them is heating up.
Mercedes' fantastic weekend in Azerbaijan saw them move up to P2, putting them in the ascendancy in the battle with Ferrari and Red Bull.
However, Singapore Grand Prix weekends have always had shocks and surprises, and with 18 points separating the three teams, with Mercedes sitting on 290 points and Ferrari just behind on 286 points, there could be plenty of changes after Sunday.
