Red Bull CEO and team principal Laurent Mekies continues to believe his contribution to the Austrian racing team is still zero despite the obvious surge in the team's performance since his arrival.
It's still zero. And I say it with the same seriousness
- Laurent Mekies on his impact at Red Bull Racing
Red Bull Racing have recently experienced a surprising upturn in form which has seen them take two back-to-back wins, two P2's and two consecutive pole positions.
When asked after the Singapore Grand Prix if the RB21 had always had this potential in it, Mekies instead highlighted the whole team's dedication to making the car stronger: "Let me put it this way, I think everybody has been working extremely hard in Milton Keynes.
"From race one to now and never giving up on trying to unlock the potential of the car. It is fair to say that the progress in the last few weeks has been quite spectacular and it's credit to everyone again back at home that have never given up."

The Frenchman also gave four-time world champion Max Verstappen credit for the Red Bull Racing team's revival.
However, he did make it clear that the performance surge was not the result of a single silver bullet, but rather a comprehensive push on all fronts that yielded the overall gains the Austrians currently boast.
"It's credit to Max that has been, with this sensitivity, pushing us to explore different avenues and finally we found an avenue that unlocked a bit of performance.
"There is no single silver bullet. So there have been a good flow of updates. There have been different ways to run the car and all together it seems that we have a competitive package on most tracks.
Mekies added: "But it's very difficult to wind back and to say With the upgrades of the beginning of the year, where would you be? We are not looking backward, we are looking forward."

Mekies' influence in Red Bull is 'revealed'

When asked on what he's pitched in with, the Red Bull Racing team principal denied having any sort of influence in the upward trend the Austrians are experiencing at the moment.
He said: "It's still zero, guys. It's still zero. And I say it with the same seriousness, and I told you after Monza, the improvement in performance is basically due to the work of everyone trying to analyze the limitations of the car.
"Race after race: what is stopping us from exploiting the potential of the car? How can we add performance to the car? Where do we need to add performance for it to convert into lap time?"
It is precisely this approach, coupled with Verstappen's input which is producing the breaktthrough's in performance and results, Mekies believed.
"And that work, again, with extremely strong and clear inputs from Max, that work is paying off."

Verstappen back in the title fight?

The Dutchman was quick to dismiss his potential to play a role in the definition for the 2025 title after he claimed that Red Bull were not dominating, and therefore he could not vy for the championship given the 63-point gap to the leader in the Drivers' Standings Oscar Piastri.
