McLaren have just announced a new multi-year technology partnership with American giant Intel, which joins the Woking-based team as its Official Compute Partner. The partnership, as shared by the team, “will support McLaren Racing in turning large volumes of data into actionable insight through a secure, scalable compute foundation. This includes trackside edge computing to enable real-time analytics and race day decision making.”
McLaren and Intel join forces in new multi-year agreement
Starting from the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal next weekend, Intel logos will appear on the MCL40. The partnership will also extend to IndyCar, with branding set to feature on one of the Arrow McLaren entries at this year’s Freedom 250 in Washington DC, as well as at the famous Indy 500 from the 2027 edition onwards.
The agreement will not be limited to
McLaren’s on-track activities in
Formula 1 and IndyCar, with Intel also joining the organisation as an Official Partner of the McLaren
F1 Sim Racing Team. As part of the collaboration, Intel branding will appear on the team’s stage simulators during this month’s F1 Sim Racing World Championship finale, before later being integrated into McLaren’s virtual liveries from the 2027 season onwards.
