From Cadillac rolling out a special stars-and-stripes livery for the British Grand Prix weekend to Max Verstappen expecting a tougher challenge at Silverstone after coming close to victory at Red Bull Ring, here's a look at today's biggest Formula 1 stories. Cadillac will race with a special stars-and-stripes livery at the British Grand Prix, marking the coincidence of the Silverstone race weekend with the Fourth of July and the celebrations surrounding America's 250th birthday. The one-off design reflects the team's American identity and serves as a tribute to the national holiday.
Explaining the initiative, CEO Dan Towriss said the weekend provides an opportunity for Cadillac to proudly represent the United States on Formula 1's global stage while also helping introduce the sport to new communities and share the team's passion with a wider audience.

McLaren also revealed a one-off design for its home race at Silverstone. The Woking-based outfit has temporarily replaced its iconic papaya colours with a white livery inspired by the M2B, the team's first Formula 1 car. The design pays tribute to the machine that debuted at the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix, where founder Bruce McLaren scored the team's first championship point, and was created in partnership with Google Gemini as part of the 'Spark What's Next' campaign.
After returning to the podium in Austria with a second-place finish, Max Verstappen heads to Silverstone looking to build on what he described as a much more competitive weekend for Red Bull. The Dutchman believes the team made encouraging progress at the Red Bull Ring, where it was finally able to challenge at the front again after a difficult start to the season, and hopes to carry that improved form into the British Grand Prix.
Despite the optimism, Verstappen expects Silverstone to pose a much tougher test. He pointed to the circuit's fast, flowing layout and the demands it places on energy deployment as factors that could make the weekend more complicated than Austria. While acknowledging the challenge ahead, the four-time world champion said he is always excited to race at one of Formula 1's most historic venues and is looking forward to another busy weekend for the team at its home-away-from-home.
"Austria was a great race for us and it felt good to be finally fighting for the win again. P2 was a solid result and we found good pace and it was nice to be battling on track as well. Now we are straight on to the next race of the double header. I love the track at Silverstone and it has a lot of history."
"I think it will feel quite different and more challenging, especially with the energy deployment in this track. Because of the layout and the high speed corners it could be a tougher race, but it looks like it will be warmer than expected so we will see. It is nice for the Team to be closer to home and it is always a busy one with a lot of things happening in the week."
