Max Verstappen was met by a very unique fan when he arrived in Shanghai for the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix. This weekend marks the second race of the Formula 1 season in China, and the Red Bull driver was humoured by the sight of this unique supporter.
A dog in Red Bull clothing waits for Verstappen
Upon arriving in China, Max Verstappen was met by an unexpected fan—a dog dressed in Red Bull Racing gear. The sight of the four-legged supporter amused the four-time world champion, bringing a smile to his face.

Although the Dutchman secured second place at the Australian Grand Prix last weekend, it was evident that McLaren still had the edge over the RB21. In qualifying, the British team claimed pole position with a gap of over three-tenths. During the race, the reigning world champion managed to keep pace initially, but tyre wear ultimately became a deciding factor.
Verstappen and Red Bull Racing will have multiple opportunities to strike back at McLaren in China. The race weekend includes a sprint race, giving them an extra shot at victory. Unlike in Australia, the weather is expected to stay dry, which could play into their hands.
