Magnussen on teammate for 2023: "It's pretty obvious"

Kevin Magnussen knows he will be part of Haas F1 next season. However, Mick Schumacher's future is still unclear, leaving the Dane to wait and see who will sit next to him in 2023. At the press conference he told Formula1.com that he is not concerned about it.
At the start of the season, Magnussen came in as a replacement for Nikita Mazepin, who was suddenly forced to leave the racing stable due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. While Magnussen made an immediate impression at Haas, Schumacher continued to struggle to perform consistently.

Magnussen holds back

It is causing team boss Guenther Steiner to waver with the American racing team as to what is best for the formation. Nico Hulkenberg is reportedly the big favourite at Haas, but Schumacher also seems to be still in the picture for a longer stay at the team.
"It's pretty obvious. Of course, we need fast drivers, drivers that are consistent, can score points, can help drive the team forward. But I think right now we have me and Mick and it’s not going too bad, I think," Magnussen said. "So, I don’t really have any strong opinions. It’s up to Guenther and of course the management to sort that one out."
