Ferrari's former President, Di Montezemolo, has issued his verdict on the team's current form and believes the lack of sporting achievements is a reflection of the Scuderia's internal state.
"Today there is no leadership," he said in an interview with La Gazzetta Dello Sport, "and above all there is a lack of soul.

"I don't know Vasseur and I don't criticise him but I see a lonely man. Too many changes, we need stability in the team."
These comments come after Ferrari's 2024 promise shown by nearly snatching the Constructors' championship from McLaren was unable to be carried over into 2025.
Coupled with Lewis Hamilton's signing the team were widely expected to compete for both titles. However, the reality has been quite different as they are still to be the sole outfit, out of "the big four" (along McLaren, Mercedes and Red Bull) to win a race this season.
In fact, Lewis Hamilton is yet to score his first podium for Ferrari as the Briton also failed to come to grips with his Ferrari drive. At the moment teammate Charles Leclerc remains to be the only driver to have finished on the podium this year.

The team, however, still stands P2 in the standings behind McLaren and ahead of Mercedes and Red Bull Racing, and has shown signs improvements in recent races, with Leclerc clinching the team's first and only pole in 2025 at the Hungarian GP prior to the summer break.
Hamilton has too been able to get a handle on the SF-25, and since the Dutch Grand Prix, despite his early demise from the race at Zandvoort, has been very close to his teammate's pace both in qualifying and in race trim, with team boss Vasseur stating Hamilton 'was back' and that he would get his first podium in red before 2025 ended.
