Ben Hunt, GPblog's lead columnist said: "I love looking at the picture, the broader image of who's moving to what team. People call it silly season. It's not silly, I think it's brilliant because it's just looking at the picture of Formula 1 and it's quite exciting to think about moving elsewhere.
"I really would love to see Max move to a different team because I think to prove yourself, you do need to move to different teams and to win championships with different teams. To work, and understand how those teams work, I think that that ability to work in different environments proves that you're, how should I put it, like a team leader. Because you can go in and change your mentality, which is why the Ferrari project is really interesting."
He continued: "You've got a multiple world champion like Lewis Hamilton going into a team that hasn't won for ages, if he's able to take that mentality and turn that team into winners, then what a great achievement that is for Hamilton. In the same way as if Verstappen would go to an Aston Martin say for instance and delivered them their first world championship win, what a heroic moment that would be for him and the team.
"I do think that is a measure of success in Formula 1, the ability to transfer and move to a different team and win a title at a different team. If Max was to do that, it would be brilliant for him and it would be brilliant for Formula 1 as well. But it would then open up a space at Red Bull which could allow another driver to thrive. So, look, I'm all here for seeing where he ends up. I just don't know where it's going to be at this stage."

Manager Vermeulen on Verstappen's future
Verstappen's manager, Vermeulen, has confirmed that it is still not one hundred percent certain that the Dutchman will remain at Red Bull Racing. According to Vermeulen, there is one key factor for the four-time world champion that plays a major role in the decision.
Speaking to Sport Bild, he said:"Of course there are clauses that would allow us to leave; those have always been there. But we have never used them. On the contrary, we have always been loyal and we will remain loyal. We want to continue on the path with Red Bull and make sure that Max finishes his career here. We do want the possibility to win."
He added: "We want a decision to be made soon, so that everyone knows where they stand. The decision could be made before the summer break"
Rumors also suggest that Red Bull's Thai owner, Chalerm Yoovidhya, would also like to
buy out Verstappen's release clause for a number in the low double-digit millions.
