Hamilton prepares for emotional Mercedes farewell: 'Really hitting me now'

As Lewis Hamilton prepares to race for the final time for Mercedes in Abu Dhabi before moving to Ferrari next season, this weekend will surely be full of emotions for the seven-time World Champion. Ahead of the weekend, Hamilton took to social media to share an emotional message to his team.

Lewis Hamilton announced early on in the 2024 season his intention to leave Mercedes at the end of the year and head to Ferrari. That decision is now becoming a reality as Hamilton prepares for his final race with the team.

Despite winning at Silverstone and Spa, it has not been a year of smooth sailing for the seven time World Champion as he has struggled with the car throughout the season. Having spent over a decade with Mercedes, Hamilton took to Instagram to share his goodbyes and thank his team.
