Leclerc supports Vettel: 'It's a difficult year for him at Ferrari'

At Ferrari, Charles Leclerc is clearly the better of Sebastian Vettel this year, which puts the German under increasing pressure. However, Leclerc shows a lot of respect for his teammate.

In 2019, Ferrari surprised by choosing Leclerc. The young Monegasque had only one year of Formula 1 experience, but was immediately promoted to the big team. There Leclerc proves that the confidence in him is justified, because the former team leader does not know what to do with Leclerc. However, the young driver has a lot of respect for Vettel.

''I just give 200% when I get in the car and have changed my approach this year. From the very first free practice I've been pretending it's a race and that has helped me to be constantly on the limit in qualifying'', says Leclerc about his own performance at Sport Bild.

Leclerc believes that Vettel will do well at Aston Martin. ''Even though we've had a few collisions on the track at times, the respect has always been there. I wish him every success in his new adventure," concludes Leclerc.
