Former Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has been arrested for alleged fraud and embezzlement in an 'international raid', according to BILD.
According to the German medium, there have been no further details about the case in which the former Force India driver was arrested, and there has been no public comment from Sutil on the allegations.
The German was in F1 between 2007 and 2014, racing for Spyker, Force India and Sauber, before becoming reserve driver for Williams in 2015.

Sutil recorded many points finishes during his time in the pinnacle of motorsport, with a P4 at the 2009 Italian Grand Prix his best result. His highest position in the drivers' standings was a ninth-place finish at the end of the 2011 season.
However, 2011 also saw the 42-year-old come under serious scrutiny after he was involved in a public incident at a nightclubin Shanghai, injuring Lotus team executive Eric Lux with a champagne glass.
Sutil was found guilty of grevious boliday harm as a result of that incident, and he was forced out of F1 for the 2012 season after receiving a fine and an 18-month suspended sentance, before returning to the sport in 2013.
