Let’s take a look at the provisional starting grid for the Sprint Race at the United States Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen lining up on pole position.
The four-time world champion once again managed to snatch it from the two McLarens right at the end, crossing the line last and taking a pole worth gold in his chase for the title — on yet another circuit where, on paper, McLaren were the favourites.
Lining up alongside him will be Lando Norris, who missed out on pole by just 71 thousandths, while Oscar Piastri will start from the second row, joined by an outstanding Nico Hülkenberg.
Starting from fifth will be the winner of the previous Grand Prix in Singapore, George Russell, with a strong Fernando Alonso alongside him.

In seventh place comes the Williams of Carlos Sainz, followed by a disappointing Charles Leclerc in eighth — a result that mirrors Ferrari’s struggles this weekend.
Rounding out the top 10 are Alex Albon in the other Williams and Lewis Hamilton in the second Ferrari.

What time does the US GP sprint race start?

After an already thrilling Friday featuring the only free practice session and the first of two qualifying rounds this weekend, it’s time to get serious with the first race — one that could already deliver major twists in the title fight.
Max Verstappen will be hoping for more scraps between the two McLarens to claw back valuable points in the standings, while Norris and Piastri will be looking to make quick work of the Dutchman and fend off the Red Bull threat.
