How the weather could shake up the Qatar Grand Prix weekend

Let’s take a look at the current weather forecast for the Qatar GP, the penultimate round of the 2025 season.
Known for its extremely hot conditions, the Losail race has tested both cars and drivers in recent years, with some even forced to retire—like Logan Sargeant in the 2023 edition, who suffered a physical issue during the race caused by the heat.
The Qatar GP weekend kicks off on Friday, with largely dry and sunny conditions and no chance of rain. Winds are expected to be light, while temperatures for the only practice session of the weekend should range between 25 and 26°C, dropping slightly to around 22°C for Sprint qualifying later in the day.
Saturday, which features the Sprint race followed by qualifying, is also expected to remain dry, with temperatures around 25°C for the Sprint and about 21°C for qualifying, while daytime highs are forecasted to reach between 27 and 28°C.

The Losail weekend hosts the penultimate round of the season and the final sprint event of the year, ahead of the Abu Dhabi grand finale, which could once again decide the Drivers’ Championship—a scenario that hasn’t happened since 2021.
The anticipation is intense to see whether Max Verstappen can keep the title fight alive and extend the battle to the final race, or if Lando Norris will be able to clinch the world championship this very weekend.
