For Christian Horner, stepping down from Red Bull Racing was never an option. In an interview with De Telegraaf, the team principal discusses the consequences of the personal
issues he had in 2024, whilst reaffirming his commitment to Red Bull once again. Horner's personal situation was a much-discussed topic in the run-up to the 2024 season. Yet, resigning has never been a serious consideration for
the team principal. “Stepping down has never been an option for me. Nor for the people around me. I have always felt a lot of support, from a beautiful and loyal group of people within the organization. I don’t want to delve too much into that. It’s better to look forward,“ Horner explained.

Horner says he has no ambition to leave
Horner indicates in the interview that he wants to stay at Red Bull, also in the future. Whether the Briton is telling the whole truth is the question.
GPblog recently reported that Horner is indeed looking around. For example, he flirted with Flavio Briatore of Alpine, which is looking for a team boss. Horner himself is also said to have stated in the German media that Ferrari had him in its sights.
“No, I’ve never seriously considered that. I feel a responsibility towards the people here. When I joined Red Bull, there were 380 people working. Now there are about 2000, counting all departments. We raise a quarter of a billion euros annually in sponsorship and marketing revenues. It's a huge organization. And I think the sporting results over the years speak for themselves: we have won 124 out of 402 races and secured a total of fourteen world championships.”
