Lewis Hamilton provided more details about the technical issue that affected his race finish in Spain and even caused him to be overtaken by Nico Hulkenberg’s Sauber.
After securing a decent fifth place in qualifying, the Spanish Grand Prix quickly turned into a nightmare for Lewis Hamilton. The Brit was forced to give up not only his position to teammate Charles Leclerc, but — more shockingly — to Nico Hulkenberg’s Sauber, who crossed the finish line in an unexpected fifth place.
As soon as the race ended, the seven-time world champion immediately sensed something was off with his SF-25 — a car that, while far from stellar this season, shouldn’t have been overtaken by one of the weakest on the grid.

Hamilton accused a technical issue in Spain

When asked about the technical issues he faced in Barcelona and how they affected his performance, Lewis Hamilton replied: ''Massively, massively. yeah, unfortunately, the team...they don't want us really to talk too much about it, but we both had issues and that were hindering us massively from halfway through the race already''.
''What I didn't know is whether or not we had that problem, but obviously I said on the radio that it was the worst feeling car that I'd ever had, and it truly was with that issue. at the end of the race, I was kind of like 'I've never experienced something this bad for such a prolonged time through a race'.
''And it wasn't until after the TV interviews or get back to the engineers and we find out there was an issue. So it was a bit of a relief to hear that''.
Earlier today, Hamilton also commented on the rumors suggesting that Frederic Vasseur’s position might be at risk following Ferrari’s disappointing season so far. Here's what he told media about it.
