Apple has launched a groundbreaking haptic trailer for F1: The Movie, produced by Lewis Hamilton and which stars Brad Pitt as retired racing phenom Sonny Hayes.
Just a few weeks ago Apple released the trailer for their upcoming movie with Formula 1, which is set to be released in theatres on June 27th.
However, Apple has introduced a new feature that uses haptic technology to let viewers physically feel the sensation of an F1 car while watching the trailer.

When viewed on a compatible iPhone via the TV app, the trailer uses the 'Taptic Engine' of the phone to deliver real‑time vibrations—subtle rumbles during pit‑stops and fierce jolts as cars roar down the track—effectively letting viewers “feel” the action alongside the visuals.
This latest upgrade to the trailer is an Apple-user only experience. To experience this new feature, you’ll need to watch the trailer on Apple’s TV app using an iPhone running iOS 18 or later.
Most of the F1 drivers have already had an exclusive preview of the movie, adding to the buzz among racing fans. The film has also partnered with McDonald’s for a promotional collaboration, further fuelling the growing hype ahead of its release.
Here's a look at the trailer using non-haptic technology:
