Verstappen surpassed by Hamilton

Forbes estimates Hamilton's income comes in at 80 million dollars, tying him for 22nd place with boxer Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez on the prestigious list.
Verstappen is not far behind with 78 million dollars, but the Dutchman falls to the 24th position with that amount, marking a loss of ground for the 27-year-old from last year, after he stood at 17th position with 81 million dollars.
The difference lies not just in the total amount, but also in the composition of the income. According to the report, Hamilton’s earnings are made up of 60 million in base salary and 20 million in bonuses. Verstappen, on the other hand, focuses primarily on his fixed contract compensation: 72 million in salary against 6 million in bonuses. In 2023, the Dutch driver actually earned a massive amount in bonuses thanks to all his victories with Red Bull's RB19.
Topping the list once again is Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese striker earns an estimated 275 million dollars per year, a combination of his contract with Al-Nassr and lucrative endorsement deals. Basketball player Stephen Curry (169 million) and boxer Tyson Fury (130 million) complete the top three.
