Lewis Hamilton did not have the best of weekends at the Canadian Grand Prix, where the British driver finished in P6 after he lost performance because of hitting a groundhog. Does the seven-time world champion expect to take a step ahead with the Scuderia in Spielberg? The Canadian Grand Prix is one of Lewis Hamilton's favourites, as the Briton won his first Grand Prix and also on seven occasions. Last weekend, he finished only sixth after he also
hit a groundhog that led to damage on his SF-25.
Asked whether he is still adapting or the car is now more to his liking, Hamilton said in North American: "I think mostly just me adapting. But I think this track really highlighted the weaknesses of the car. I've never had a car understeer so much at a low-speed here."
"It just doesn't want to turn through Turn 2 or Turn 10. So yes, definitely not my most favourite weekend, but I hope the next one will be better."

The seven-time world champion does see a reason why the next weekend could turn out to be better for the Scuderia, but he isn't sure about it. "I don't really know. I mean, it's all medium- and high-speed, so I think we'll be a bit better. And I think the car's pretty good in high-speed, so hopefully we'll be a bit stronger next weekend," he explained.
However, he also sees their rivals will also be strong.
"I don't think we'll be on the pace of the McLaren, or also I think the Red Bulls are really quick in the high-speed but hopefully we'll still in the mix."After crossing the finish line in sixth position at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the Briton is also in P6 in the drivers' standings, having collected 25 points less than his teammate, Charles Leclerc
