Isack Hadjar offered a witty take on how he quickly moved past his crash during the shakedown in Barcelona.
“Read everything, and thought, ‘I’m screwed for the whole season.’”

Speaking to GPblog at the pre-season testing in Bahrain, the Red Bull Racing driver recounted how he felt after the crash. Hadjar continued by highlighting his reaction to seeing the comments on social media in the aftermath of the incident.
“When I crashed, I immediately thought about Pierre. So I went on Twitter, read everything, and thought, ‘I’m screwed for the whole season.’ And that’s how I moved on, honestly," he said.
During the maiden shakedown in Barcelona, Hadjar suffered a crash during his afternoon run on January 27. The French driver skidded off track at turn 14 during the weather-affected session.

Hadjar’s crash resulted in significant damage for the Red Bull Racing outfit, with the Milton Keynes-based team opting to delay its final run at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya until the final day due to repairs needed for the car.

Hadjar also experienced a few issues during his test session at the Bahrain International Circuit. The 21-year-old was forced to miss about half of day two’s morning session while changes were made to his car.
Hadjar, who had the full day to himself, was only able to rack up 87 laps, compared to teammate Max Verstappen, who accumulated one of the highest mileages during his session a day earlier.

Hadjar, however, will return to the wheel of the RB22 car during the afternoon session of the final day of Bahrain testing.
