Apple and Tag Heuer launch a distinctive technological initiative for the Monaco Grand Prix in celebration of the 75th anniversary of F1 and the upcoming release of the F1 movie next month. "Apple Maps users can now enjoy a new Monaco Detailed City Experience and custom updates of the glamorous principality that is so synonymous with F1," the F1 press release reads.
Whilst the feature will start rolling out later today for all apple maps users, and they will be able to explore landmarks such as the Monte Carlo Casino, Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the Monaco Yacht Club and the F1 paddock club, during the race weekend, not only apple maps users, but attendees and fans overall as well, will be able to interact more closely with the F1 race weekend.
"In time for the upcoming Grand Prix de Monaco, which takes place between May 23-25, Apple Maps is also offering users, attendees, and Formula 1 fans an in-depth way to explore and enjoy the race."
"The racetrack will be highlighted in Apple Maps and includes details like markers for each of the circuit s iconic turns, along with 3D representations of grandstands, footbridges, the finish line, and more."
"In celebration of next month’s release of Apple Original Films ’F1 The Movie', Apple Maps users can also explore a custom guide featuring the world’s most iconic F1 racetracks, including Monaco and other tracks featured in the upcoming film."

'F1 The Movie will be immersive, but Apple is taking that one step beyond'
Ian Holmes, Chief Media Rights and Broadcasting Officer at Formula 1, reacted to the news: “F1 The Movie is set to be truly immersive, and Apple is taking that one step further, enabling fans to dive into both Monaco and the film locations through Apple Maps."
