The Monaco Grand Prix is only a few weeks away, and for the first time ever, drivers are now required to make multiple pit stops.
A mandatory two-stop rule has been introduced to make the Monaco GP more entertaining. But will it actually work?

Bortoletto has his doubts

Sauber driver Gabriel Bortoleto has his doubts regarding the changes being made.
Talking to GPBlog and others, he said, "When you look at it. It all depends on your race pace. If you have a very good race pace, all these factors, more stops, different compounds, will always play in your favour."

"If you don't have the pace, it doesn't matter. They can put 10 stops, it will not change your position. So it's all about how quick you go."

The rookie continued, "It's all about how quick you go. With more stops, you can play more with safety cars and everything, you can stay longer on track, and maybe a safety car happens."
"You gain some positions. Especially in Monaco, it is difficult to overtake. If you get lucky to be pitting in a safety car window, you gain a lot of time there.
