Romain Grosjean miraculously survived a heavy crash last season. While his car went completely up in flames, the driver managed to escape in time. Nevertheless, he left a lot to the incident.
The driver, who was in his final season with Haas, had to spend months in rehabilitation to recover. Grosjean succeeded in this and is now able to get on with his life. Despite this, he is still dealing with limitations due to his hand. "It will never be perfect again. It's painful, but you learn to live with it", he tells in the podcast In the Fast Lane.
Among other things, he has to watch out for sunlight. "I just have to put sunscreen on when I go out in the sun because it's brand new skin," Grosjean says, looking on the bright side. "There are a few things where I'm a bit limited, but 95 percent of the time it works fine. It doesn't look great, but that's my war scar."

Grosjean continues career in IndyCar

The end of his Formula 1 career didn't mean Grosjean was leaving motorsport. The driver can be admired in the United States this season where he will be in action in the IndyCar championship.
