Martin Brundle has shed his light on what has become the news of the day. On his Twitter account he responds to the news as follows: “This is going to be interesting, very pleased that Sergio Perez remains on the grid, and he should be experienced and fast enough to handle the pressure of 'Mighty Max' . ”
Brundle also has a good word for Albon, who was passed by the team as the second driver. Brundle: "I am also happy that Alex Albon is still very much in the game for the future, he is better than he has looked all year, as was the case with Gasly last year."

Ook Sky Sports-commentator David Croft heeft op Twitter de Mexicaanse Perez gefeliciteert met zijn stoeltje voor 2021. Dit doet hij als volgt: “Gefeliciteerd Perez die het meer dan verdiende om op de grid te blijven gezien zijn briljante vorm dit seizoen. Het besluit van Red Bull is hard voor Albon maar ik ben blij om te zien dat hij bij het team blijft als test/reservecoureur. Ik hoop hem in de toekomst weer te zien racen in de Formule 1.”
