F1 Today: Hamilton speaks on 2021, Norris launches sarcastic remark on Verstappen

Hamilton recently opened up about his 2021 Formula 1 campaign. The British driver, who appeared in a recent interview, described it as one of the best of his illustrious career.

The Scuderia Ferrari driver recounted how he ended the season in impressive form, detailing how he managed to maximise the potential of the W12 car despite the lack of upgrades.

The 2021 campaign saw Hamilton locked in a title fight with Max Verstappen. The seven-time champion, however, missed out on what could have been his eighth title following a late safety car incident that changed the dynamics of the race.

Lando Norris appeared to have had enough of the questions surrounding Verstappen’s title challenge and its impact on McLaren’s decisions. The 25-year-old was quick to offer a sarcastic remark when quizzed about it in the aftermath of the Singapore Grand Prix.

Since the resumption of the Formula 1 season with the Dutch Grand Prix, Verstappen has scored the most points of any driver on the grid. The Red Bull Racing star has recorded two victories and as many podium finishes since the race in Zandvoort.

Verstappen’s form has also seen the gap to both Norris and championship leader Oscar Piastri cut down significantly. However, with six races and three sprints left, Norris appeared bored of the talk surrounding Verstappen mounting a late title surge, offering a sarcastic “I am very concerned” remark after his outing in Singapore.
