Kimi Antonelli has secured Pole Position for the British GP, giving himself the best possible chance of victory around the iconic Silverstone circuit on Sunday.
Antonelli's quickest lap time in Q3 was enough to edge out Charles Leclerc, ahead of Lewis Hamilton in P3.
Qualifying got underway in dramatic fashion after George Russell suffered a crash at Luffield. Thankfully, the Briton was uninjured and able to get back on track after a pit stop to replace a damaged front wing - finishing P10 in Q1 under pressure.
Next up to face a nervy end to Q2 was McLaren's Lando Norris, the reigning world champion was P9 as those further down made their way round in the closing stages. Luckily for the Briton, P9 is where he stayed, advancing into the final 10.

At the back of the grid, Aston Martin's woes continued, as Fernando Alonso was beaten for the second time this season in Qualifying by teammate Lance Stroll. The Aston duo were P22 and P21, however, behind Sergio Perez, Franco Colapinto, Valtteri Bottas, and Esteban Ocon.
Speaking after Qualifying, 19-year-old Antonelli said:
"A bit stressed because I never like going first for the last run! The last lap was very tidy. I have t to be honest, it came altogether. It was very tricky with the wind because it was very gusty and unpredictable.
"But we built out way through qualifying. To bring the pole home is very satisfying. We didn't change the car at all - just differential, brake migration, driving. We worked around it and managed to find good settings that helped me to progress through qualifying."
It is yet another excellent display from Mercedes' teenage sensation, with former F1 driver Martin Brundle commenting on Sky F1 that the championship leader is looking ever more comfortable at his Silver Arrow "second family."
