F1 Full Results | George Russell sets the pace in FP3 for the Italian Grand Prix

George Russell has topped the timing charts in the final practice session at the Italian Grand Prix, ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

The Mercedes driver's mightily impressive lap time of 1:45.990 was enough to edge out Norris and the other frontrunners, putting a marker down ahead of Qualifying later today at the iconic Monza circuit.

As is the norm in FP3, drivers were slow to get on track, with Kimi Antonelli leading the way at the halfway stage with a 1:23.032, ahead of Charles Leclerc's Ferrari and Pierre Gasly's Alpine.

Liam Lawson had a spin at Turn 1, while Oscar Piastri had a number of moments running into the gravel slightly on one lap before running down the escape road into the opening corner.

George Russell with around 25 minutes left on the clock set a blistering time of 1:22.687 to go quickest, with the help of a tow from teammate Antonelli, an early sign of what is likely to come during qualifying. Hamilton says the tow is "everything" in Monza and will be hoping to get the same help from Leclerc in qualifying.

The British driver would eventually improve to a 1:22.219 to finish the session quickest, 0.226 seconds quicker than Hamilton with Verstappen a further tenth behind. Hamilton and Verstappen had a tense moment at the end of the session as they raced down the home straight with the Dutchman divebombing down the inside of the Ferrari driver, forcing Hamilton wide.

Kimi Antonelli, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, Arvid Lindblad, Oscar Piastri, Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto rounded out the top 10.
