Oscar Piastri's victory ahead of Lando Norris at the Belgian Grand Prix saw the Australian extend his lead at the top of the drivers' championship. Heavy rain that saw a premature end to an earlier race on Sunday at the
Spa-Francorchamps circuit meant an hour and 20-minute delay was enforced, with huge amounts of spray causing major visibility issues for the drivers out on track.
However, once the rain cleared, racing got back underway, and after four laps behind the safety car to get green flag conditions underway, it was Lando Norris who led teammate Oscar Piastri down into turn 1.
Despite both
McLaren drivers going onto different tyres as the dry compounds came out, Piastri made sure the mediums made it to the end of the race to extend his championship lead over his teammate to 16 points.
Leclerc's P3 meant he was able to close the gap to George Russell in P4 after the Brit could only finish P5, while a P4 for Max Verstappen saw him lose out to the McLaren pair once again at the top of the standings.
Lewis Hamilton's superb drive saw him finish in P7 after starting 18th and from the pit lane, unable to shift a stubborn Alex Albon in P6.
Liam Lawson, Gabriel Bortoleto and Pierre Gasly rounded out the top ten to score some vital points.
